High Voice, Orchestra
From volume 1 of Britten's folk song arrangements and dedicated to Mildred Titley, a friend from Britten's time in America. It was composed sometime before 11 December 1940, which is believed to be the date of the song's first performance by Britten and Pears (part of a concert at the Cosmopolitan Club in New York). It has been published in 3 versions: high voice and piano, medium voice and piano, and high voice and orchestra.
